Dr Alison Johnstone
MBChB MRCGP DFSRH PGCME
Dr Johnstone is a dedicated doctor with many years of experience working as a GP in the Basingstoke area. She is UK trained and has a broad range of specialist interests that compliment the GP service.
Dr Johnstone’s focus is to offer every patient the care they deserve in a relaxed environment and at a time that is convenient for you. She prides herself on offering a caring, holistic approach alongside the convenience and efficiency of the service.
Dr Johnstone graduated from Sheffield University in 1996 before joining the Army. She served in Germany, Bosnia and England during which time she spent some time working as an anaesthetist before completing her general practice training.
Over the last 12 years Dr Johnstone has worked as a local NHS GP in the Basingstoke area and has developed a special interest in women’s health, family planning and palliative care. She works regularly at St Michael’s Hospice and the Falkland Surgery, Newbury.
Dr Johnstone has a keen interest in occupational health medicine and training and education.
Dr Johnstone is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and her additional qualifications include the diploma from the faculty of sexual and reproductive health (DFSRH) and a postgraduate certificate in medical education (PGCME).
Dr Rohit Chander
MBChB MRCGP DCH DRCOG
Dr Rohit Chander joined Candover’s team in May 2016. Since 2012 Dr Chander has worked as a General Partner at a local GP Practice. Following graduating from the University of Leicester in 2007, he worked in Hospitals in Leicester and Kettering. He had further posts in Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and completed his GP training. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr Chander is a volunteer Scheme Director for the British Heart Foundation supported by the Heartstart initiative, which is co-ordinated by the British Heart Foundation to teach members of the public what to do in a life-threatening emergency.
Dr Chander ‘s further qualifications include a Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Mrs Jo Rawlinson
Private Medical Secretary
Jo’s first experience as a Private Secretary was in 2001. Following this she spent 11 years in the United States where she gathered great experience as an Office Manager in a leading edge tech company. Since returning to the UK, Jo has rekindled her passion for Private Practice.
